Picture Windows
Installation & Replacement by HomeTrust

HomeTrust Windows and Doors installs picture windows designed to deliver wide, open views and exceptional energy performance.

Each fixed window features Low-E insulated glass, argon gas fills, and precision-built vinyl, fiberglass, or wood-clad frames that meet ENERGY STAR®, NFRC, and AAMA standards.

These non-operable windows offer strong insulation, long-term reliability, and a clean architectural finish ideal for living rooms, stairwells, and high-wall applications.

Why Choose Picture Windows

Picture windows are large, fixed panes that don’t open, giving you wide, unobstructed views of the outdoors.

Their tight seal keeps out drafts and moisture while letting in plenty of sunlight, making them perfect for living rooms, stairways, or high walls where you want natural light without losing energy efficiency.

Every installation from HomeTrust Windows and Doors focuses on strength, comfort, and lasting performance supported by Lifetime Workmanship Warranty.

Picture Windows Materials and Options

Picture windows installed or replaced by HomeTrust Windows and Doors are built for strength, insulation, and long-lasting performance.

Each system is made from top-quality materials that meet ENERGY STAR®, NFRC, and AAMA standards for energy efficiency, weather resistance, and durability.

Popular Add-Ons for Picture Windows

Customize your new picture windows with features that improve comfort, appearance, and energy performance.

HomeTrust Windows and Doors offers factory-installed upgrades that meet ENERGY STAR®, NFRC, and AAMA standards for quality, reliability, and long service life.

  • Decorative Window Grilles and Grids – Add character to your picture windows with simulated divided lites (SDLs) or grilles-between-the-glass (GBG). Each grille is sealed inside the insulated glass unit (IGU) for easy cleaning, clear views, and lasting color stability.

  • Integrated Blinds and Internal Shades – Between-the-glass blinds give privacy and light control without cords or dusting. The sealed design preserves U-factor and visible light transmittance (VLT) ratings while keeping the window’s interior clean and streamlined.

  • Low-E and Tinted Glass Packages – Choose Low-Emissivity coatings that reflect infrared heat and filter UV rays for better comfort and energy savings. Optional gray, bronze, or blue tints help manage the solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) and glare levels.

  • Premium Frame Finishes – Select from brushed nickel, matte black, satin chrome, or oil-rubbed bronze finishes for trim and hardware accents. All components are tested to AAMA standards for corrosion resistance and consistent performance.

  • Insect and Security Screen Systems – Fixed picture windows can include matching fiberglass or aluminum mesh screens on adjoining operable windows for a unified look. Optional stainless-steel security mesh adds strength and protection for ground-level areas.

  • Acoustic and Safety Glass Packages – For quieter interiors and extra strength, select laminated acoustic glazing or impact-resistant insulated glass units (IGUs). These meet ASTM E1300 and provide verified STC/OITC acoustic ratings for better sound control and safety.

Our Picture Window Installation Process

Installing picture windows takes precise measurement, careful handling, and proven sealing methods to ensure lasting comfort and efficiency.

HomeTrust Windows and Doors follows industry standards such as AAMA 2400 and ASTM E2112 for weatherproof and energy-efficient installation.

Each step of the process focuses on maintaining the integrity of your wall structure while ensuring the new window performs to ENERGY STAR®, NFRC, and AAMA requirements.

Consultation and Opening Evaluation

Installation begins with an on-site consultation and detailed measurement of your picture window openings. Our technicians assess wall depth, sill condition, and framing support to ensure the new fixed units fit precisely and deliver proper thermal performance.

Picture Window Selection and Material Planning

You’ll select the frame type and glass configuration that match your home’s layout and energy goals. Each picture window installed by HomeTrust Windows and Doors includes Low-E insulated glass, argon gas fills, and NFRC-certified frames tested for insulation, air leakage, and solar heat gain.

Removal and Opening Preparation

The old window and trim are removed carefully to protect surrounding drywall and siding. The rough opening is cleaned, squared, and protected with flashing tape and sill pan liners to block water and air infiltration.

Setting and Anchoring the Picture Window

The new picture window frame is positioned, leveled, and shimmed to maintain uniform sightlines and structural support. It’s anchored using corrosion-resistant screws, then sealed with low-expansion polyurethane foam to secure insulation and reduce vibration.

Sealing and Weatherproofing

High-grade silicone sealant and AAMA-compliant flashing membranes are applied around the perimeter. Together, these create a continuous moisture barrier that protects both the picture window frame and the surrounding wall cavity.

Interior Finishing and Trim Work

Interior casings and aprons are reinstalled or replaced to match existing finishes. Every joint is sealed for a clean look and to maintain the thermal envelope between the frame and interior wall.

Performance and Quality Testing

Each installed picture window is checked for glass clarity, tight perimeter seals, and thermal continuity. We confirm that Low-E coatings, argon gas fills, and frame construction meet ENERGY STAR®, NFRC, and AAMA performance standards.

Warranty and Post-Installation Review

HomeTrust Windows and Doors registers your manufacturer warranty and provides full documentation of workmanship coverage. Before completion, our installers review cleaning, caulking, and inspection tips to help maintain long-term window performance.
