Casement Windows Materials and Options

Casement windows from HomeTrust Windows and Doors are built for strength, energy performance, and weather protection.

Every frame and glass package meets ENERGY STAR®, NFRC, and AAMA standards for lasting reliability.

Popular Add-Ons for Awning Windows

Casement windows can be ordered with factory options that add comfort, strength, and efficiency.

Every feature—whether Low-E glass, decorative grilles, built-in blinds, or hardware upgrades—is designed to meet ENERGY STAR®, NFRC, and AAMA standards while matching your home’s design and daily use.

  • Decorative Window Grilles and GridsCasement windows can include simulated divided lites (SDLs) or grilles-between-the-glass (GBG) for a traditional look. Each grille is sealed inside the insulated glass unit (IGU) to keep views clear and cleaning simple.

  • Low-E and Tinted Glass PackagesCasement windows can be built with Low-E coatings or tinted glass that control glare, block UV rays, and reduce solar heat gain. These glass systems maintain year-round comfort and stable indoor temperatures.

  • Integrated Blinds and ShadesCasement windows can include blinds sealed between the glass panes for privacy and easy cleaning. The enclosed design prevents dust buildup and protects blinds from damage.

  • Premium Hardware FinishesCasement windows come with crank handles and locks in brushed nickel, matte black, or oil-rubbed bronze. Each component meets AAMA performance standards for durability and corrosion resistance.

  • Insect and Security ScreensCasement windows can include fiberglass or aluminum mesh screens that allow airflow while keeping insects out. Optional stainless-steel security mesh adds strength and protection against impact.

  • Acoustic and Safety Glass UpgradesCasement windows can be ordered with laminated or tempered glass that improves safety and sound control. These glazing options meet ASTM E1300 standards and provide higher STC/OITC acoustic ratings.

Our Casement Windows Installation Process

Each casement window installation by HomeTrust Windows and Doors is completed with precise measurement, secure framing, and certified sealing methods.

Every project follows AAMA 2400 and ASTM E2112 guidelines to ensure energy efficiency, weather protection, and long service life.

Consultation and Site Review

The process begins with a full inspection of wall openings, frame condition, and hinge clearance. Accurate measurements allow the new casement windows to fit tightly within the rough opening.

Casement Window Selection and Hardware Planning

HomeTrust installer verifies the size, operation type, and hardware placement for each casement window. Proper measurement ensures the sash opens freely and closes with a tight compression seal.

Removal and Preparation

The old window and frame are removed without damaging the surrounding wall. The opening is cleaned, squared, and lined with flashing tape and a sill pan to block moisture intrusion.

Setting and Securing the Window

The new casement window frame is positioned, leveled, and anchored with corrosion-resistant screws. Low-expansion polyurethane foam is applied around the frame for insulation and sound control.

Sealing and Weatherproofing

Silicone sealant, drip caps, and flashing membranes are installed to create a continuous moisture barrier. The compression gasket around the sash keeps rain and air from entering.

Interior and Exterior Finishing

Trim and casing are reinstalled or replaced to match the home’s finish. All gaps are sealed to maintain a complete thermal envelope.

Final Testing and Inspection

Each casement window is checked for smooth crank operation, lock alignment, and airtight closure. Installations are verified for compliance with ENERGY STAR®, NFRC, and AAMA standards.

Warranty and Support

After installation, HomeTrust provides written documentation of the manufacturer warranty and workmanship coverage. Our service team remains available for any needed adjustment or inspection.
